Beer and Cheese | Bullhouse Brew Co. x Errigle Inn x Indie Füde

On the last Thursday of every month The Errigle Inn and Indie Füde bring you a special evening of Cheese & Beer pairings.

Guided talk on 5 local cheeses paired with 5 beers from some of the best local breweries.

A brilliant night in the Marble Lounge not to be missed.

Thursday 29th JuneBullhouse Brew Co. will be the guest beer for the next Beer & Cheese Tasting.

The story of Bullhouse Brew Co began back in 2011, when founder Willy Mayne got a taste for great beer on a road trip around the west-coast of the US with his brother. Visiting Green Flash Brewery in San Diego was the epiphany moment. Drinking flavoursome beers on an out-of-town industrial estate on a Friday afternoon with a mix of local office and factory workers and seeing how beer and particularly breweries can be an integral part of the community was a real eye opener.

Coming back from the trip, Willy started homebrewing on the farm he grew up on just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. After homebrewing for four years, he set to work converting the old bull’s house on the farm into a tiny 500sq ft brewery. Working full-time and living at home to save money, over the space of 12 months he converted the Bullhouse into a small brewery, buying second-hand equipment from dairy farms and other breweries across Ireland, including a mash tun made from a converted catering fridge. Starting a commercial brewery for £600 doesn’t result in anything too pretty, but it was something, and it made some tasty beer.

Cocktail of the Month: May 🍹🍸

Caipirinha

Cachaça, Lime Juice, Sugar Syrup, Crushed Ice

Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail, made with cachaça, sugar, and lime. The drink is prepared by mixing the fruit and the sugar together, then adding the liquor. This can be made in a single large glass to be shared among people, or in a larger jar, from which it is served in individual glasses

The Grand Camaros

Back in the 80s Friday and Saturday nights at The Errigle Inn meant just one thing: the best live music from local talent.

Music lovers of all ages were drawn back week after week to hear a mix of classic rock, blues, pop with songs by artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Toto, Genesis and many more.

The 80s may be a distant memory now, but the good news is the music of those live bands is coming back on Saturday 15th April in the Arbele Lounge.

Featuring original members and former members of CLOUDS, this is sure to be a fabulous night performed by THE GRAND CAMAROS.

Save the date for a nostalgic musical trip celebrating some of the best music The Errigle Inn had to offer from CLOUDS, SK’BOO etc.

Rubber Plants

Northern Ireland’s premier Led Zeppelin tribute band return to the Errigle Inn on Saturday 18th February.

Founded originally in the late ‘90s, The Rubber Plants’ music and personnel gradually changed to encompass more and more Led Zeppelin material until, by 1999, the had evolved into the beginnings of what they are today: A tight, professional Zeppelin tribute band, whose dynamic two-hours set has been distilled into an exciting mixture of power and innovation which genuinely captures the spirit of the original masters.

The band consists of Gerry Wilkinson on drums, Paul Tracey on bass and Gavin Correy on lead vocals and guitar. It is a mammoth task to take on the vocal range of Robert Plant and the masterful guitar licks of Jimmy Page but Correy deals with them admirably.

The band never attempts to clone Zeppelin’s tunes but to play them with heart and power, gaining respect and admiration from knowledgeable musical fans everywhere.
