Our first St Patrick’s Day since 2019.
In March 2020 on the eve of St Patrick’s Day, the bar took the difficult decision to close amid the growing COVID19 pandemic with safety for employees and customers being paramount. Due to government restrictions the bar was then closed from December 2020 until May 2021, meaning this will be the bar’s first Saint Patrick’s Day in three years.
A bumper week is planned with events like Cheltenham, Six Nations and St. Patrick’s Day itself. There will be Live Bands, Traditional sessions, DJs, Irish Dancing, a special St. Patrick’s menu, beers from local breweries, and of course a Green Beer from White Hag.
The Cheltenham Festival runs from Tuesday 15th until Gold Cup Day on Friday 18th March. Every race will be shown live with Gold Cup Day on the Big Screen in the Arbele Lounge. The £12.50 Punter’s Pack returns for the duration of the festival, which includes Two Drinks and a £5 Ladbrokes Bet. There’ll also be other promotions throughout the week.
Saturday 19th March sees the final day of this year’s Six Nations and it is all going down to the last match on the last day. The Home of Rugby will be the place to be. All three matches will be shown on the Big Screen and the Roof Garden’s 14 TV booths, Wales vs Italy at 2.15pm, Ireland vs Scotland at 4.45pm and France vs England at 8pm.
